Summary

About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ft Worth District with a duty station of Ft. Worth, TX. Duties

Plans, develops and establishes long and short range procurement plans, strategies and approaches for the overall acquisition program.,Advises program officials in procurement planning meetings of the procurement objectives to be used and explores new or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at an equitable contract management.,Serves as lead negotiator, planning the negotiation strategy, coordinating strategy with the negotiation team and leading the negotiations conducted with contractors to reach and a fair and reasonable position for all parties involved.,Responsible for contract administration functions following contract award throughout the life of the contract.,Monitors and ensures contractor performance in accordance with all terms and conditions of the contract.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Engineers & Scientists (Construction) Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 12 months by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years; however, return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. If applicable, returns rights may be negotiated upon selection. If return rights are approved, a return rights agreement/statement of understanding will be required to be completed prior to appointment.
